On2Court's Chase Burgess beats a strong field to win the 9 & Under Lincolnshire County Championships held at Boston TC.

Having Represented Lincolnshire in the 9 & Under County Cup, playing at number one, Chase (pictured with his trophy) showed his class by winning all 6 of his matches without dropping a set. In the round robin section, he won his matches 7-0 7-1, 7-0 8-6 and 7-2 7-2 respectively.

In his quarter final, he came up against a strong opponent from Boston TC but again came through strongly winning 7-3 7-0 and doing the same in his semi final opponent from Grantham TC coming through 7-1 7-4.

So then to the final. Again he was facing another tough opponent from Grantham TC. Chase took the first set comfortably, winning it 7-2. However, his opponent came fighting back with some inspired play to take a 5-1 lead in the second set. Chase however, kept his composure and showed what a good player he is by continuing to play the aggressive tennis that had got him to this stage and finally came out on top 9-7.

In total, On2Court had 8 representatives at the County Championships with notable achievements from Alice Gamman who came runner up in the 12 & Under Girls Singles as well as the U14 Girls Doubles and also from Finlay Henderson who won the consolation final of the 12 & Under Boys Singles.

A huge congratulations to everyone who competed from On2Court!!
